I like this rose Val, the petals are lovely. I haven't used watercolours for quite some time and I find it difficult to go back to.

I love this painting especially the centre of the flower.......the colour is superb.

And no background LOL; a lady after my own heart. I can't even draw a rose. This is smashing.

Thanks Lorraine, Max and Diana for such nice comments. Yes Diana, no background LOL. I thought of doing a loose splash of green somewhere to represent a leaf but as I'm not very good at loose or green I decided to leave well alone before this one went the same way as the others and ended up in the bin !!!

bravo Val, pour vos aquarelles florales, celle ci est ma preferées

Merci Alain.

I am very impressed with your rose. Its a complicated flower and takes a clear understanding and total focus. Bravo!

Many thanks Margaret.

Just snooping in your gallery Val. I like this very much, a wonderful rose. I keep meaning to have another go at painting roses :0( I must have missed this before!

Thanks for your comment on mine, Val. I certainly can't paint flowers - far less as beautifully as you do, This is magic!

The saying " Jack of all trades .................. " springs to mind !!!
