Forgot to say I did use gouache on this as I didn't save enough of the white paper but it didn't work very well. Hopefully the second attempt will be better.

Such a hard thing to do Val. Though you are getting there. I wanted to know how to paint rain drops on leaves...a similar problem and I found something on U Tube. Maybe there’s a bubble one as well.

An unusual subject, Val. I like it, lovely colours.

Super painting Val of not an easy subject!

Lovely blended colours in the bubbles Val, they look light flowing through the air......like it :)

Val, I would find this subject mind boggling! A marvellous attempt, looks good, I like the rainbow of colours that bubbles are made from and you’ve captured them so well.

Val these look so good!! I love all the colours you have used and your background compliments the bubbles so well.

Very nice Val. love the way you have painted the bubbles.

This must have taken you ages Val. I tried some on black paper last week and know how hard it is. I am not happy with my one.

You’ve got the colours of the bubbles so well observed.

Super val, you feel they are floating around.

Sorry a bit late I know but thank you everyone for your generous comments on my bubbles . Half way through no 2 but still not happy, might give up before mark 3 :) Sylvia thanks, I checked out you tube for watercolour demos but not really helpful. The most realistic one was painted in acrylics but acrylics and I just don't get on :(

This is a trial attempt at painting bubbles. My daughter sent me photos of a street entertainer in Edinburgh blowing giant bubbles. There were millions of them everywhere and I thought I'd attempt painting some. Didn't turn out as I hoped but I learned something from the exercise and will now attempt another bigger painting but tackling the bubbles in a different way. Fingeers crosed :) Thanks for looking.
