The background one give the composition a lovely gentle sense of depth Val. That’s my thought about it. Beautiful colouring as well.

Thank you Bob, I put the background flower in as an afterthought but wasn't sure about it, glad you like it. Ha Ha Alan, should have gone to specsavers springs to mind. I'm very flattered you think this was painted by Carole, but I'm Val :) Glad you like it though. Many thanks for your kind words John that is what I was trying to achieve with the background bloom. Thank you so much for your kind words Jola, Ibolya, Maureen, Fiona, Sylvia, Margaret and Brian. I do think CP's are considered to be the poor relation to other mediums but they do have a lot to offer and I'm often amazed at the quality of work produced by more experienced CP users.

Coloured pencil. Helped by a CR free photo as I don't have any fuschias in my garden :) I think it looked better before I put the one in the background. I like CP work as I find it very relaxing compared to other mediums and no mess!! Thanks for looking.
