I do like your style of painting John, totally different to mine so perhaps that's the reason. A great solid and thought out piece.

This is beautiful John, so much colour, roll on Spring!

Looking at this already has me longing for spring. Lovely impressionistic painting, looks like a touch of pointillism used to great effect.

I thought this one of your super pastels to begin with John. It has the same flow and vibrancy....lovely indeed.

It's another super painting John, I can certainly see a touch of Seurat in this who is one of my favourite painters.

Thanks Alan, l had the same thoughts about your style.

Thanks Andre, Impressionism is my favourite.

Thanks Fiona, soft pastels are wonderful because you can just bash it on, they tough me how to use colour. So yes a lot of my oils reflect my pastel work.

Thanks Russell, I most certainly would put Seurat as a one of your favourites.

I could do with looking out at this type of scene at the moment John. I don't think you always need that 'focal point' but, doubtless some would disagree with me.

Thank you Adele, its not quite without focal points as there is that branch hanging down towards the centre. Its just a matter of how one constructs a painting.

Beautiful light and colours John, I like the distance it creates.

A secret woodland, love it John.

Thank you Sylvia, well its in my head, as I had spent so much time in woods like you see here.

Nicely done John. Looking forward to seeing the woodland flowers again

Thanks David. All the spring flowers are building up themselves to spring forth for another natural fireworks display.

Wonderful painting and beautiful colours, John.

Lovely impressionistic painting, John!

Can't wait for this John, beautiful thanks for reminding us.

Gorgeous lighting John. Love the arch of the trees inviting one into the distance.

It is vibrant and so beautifully balanced. I love the quality of light and great detail you captured.

Oil on canvas board. 20x16 inches. I always ment to put a deer or someithing in as a focal point, but I just like it as it is. Lots of colour.
