This artwork was created using carbon pencils and liquid charcoal on hot-pressed watercolor paper. The reference photo, which is one of my own, inspired a composition that emphasizes the animal's imposing size by placing the subject in a close-up view. I enjoy incorporating abstract elements alongside realistic depictions, as this combination creates compelling visual contrasts and provides greater artistic freedom.
