Thank you everyone for your lovely comments! The owner was very happy with the painting, it as a challenge to do especially as Christine said this isn't my usual subject. With me now working full time as an artist I can't paint what I would always prefer to paint but I do feel myself swinging towards horses a little! :-)

WHAT a beauty, Paul. I love his whiskers and you have captured the soft, velvety feel to his nose too. I want to give him an apple or something to befriend him.

Nutmeg the beautiful show horse in watercolour. Painted on SAA 300gsm watercolour paper approx A3 in size. Completed 7th June 2015. This was such a lovely commission to do and took approx. 30 hours to complete from start to finish.
