A quite stunning selection of paintings - I console myself I haven't the eyesight to even see the hairs on a 0000 sable, never mind paint with it, so will not attempt to emulate you..

What a great result Paul. As Robert says above a 0000 brush must take amazinging skill, do you use a magnifier? Love the fuzzy fur and the tree bark, beautifully done. Kind regards ~ Anni Morris

Wonderfully painted and how sweet is that little cub!

Thank you everyone. **Anni** I don't use a magnifier but I do have a daylight tubed lamp which with my nose quite close to the work helps me to see what I need to do.............just! :-)

Gorgeous bear cub, such lovely detail

A really wonderful selection of animals and most beautifully rendered by you. So detailed and intense.

Thank you Ros and Sandi for your lovely words!

Do you enter any of your paintings into David Sheppard Competitions, Paul? You would win them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jennifer, that is very kind of you to say. I very rarely enter anything into competitions, this is mostly because the majority of my work tends to be commission based. When time allows though I do intend on entering a competition or two. :-)

This is a 9" x 12" size painting using an Arches Aquarelle Paper Block. The main brush size would be a Windsor & Newton 0000 sable. I do occasionally use a small amount of white acrylic for the odd highlight. http://www.devonartist.co.uk/
