What a very glamorous looking painting, I think your 'glow' makes it work so well that touch of warmth gives this real depth.

Now, then, here's different! A very striking image- dramatic, menacing, even. It benefits hugely by not being totally monochrome.

A wonderful painting Jeannette, very atmospheric. The water and lighs are great.

The lights are so realistic and the background glow is wonderful. Reminds me of your monchrome American street which I loved.

PS The one shown above (New York) That's great too.

You've done a great job with this night scene. I still have to muster the courage to do one in watercolour.

Wow! I really like this! So dramatic - well done

I really love this - lovely tonal work

Impressive! Full of life, movement and the monochrome effect really works.

Hang on Studio Wall

I was asked to paint this for the gallery they wanted monochrome. The reference photo was in colour which I got from freefoto. I have used Graphite, white and Mars Black. I have also put a very slight glow here and there! I started this painting by just laying black strokes for the buildings and then built it up from there. Acrylic on canvas board 20 x 16"
