Wow and fast...absolutely enchanting...I like it.

Jeannette, you are an amazing artist! I love the lights.

Did Jazza take herself off on her own for a walk while you sat and painted this lovely scene? Your watercolour and pastel paintings always look so good whilst my attempts turn out a complete mess. As Nora says the lights in this are great and the little splash of red on the tree really draws the eye in. It must have been a sunny day yesterday in Kent, complete contrast here, pouring rain and howling gales, a normal Scottish summer!

Thank you girls for your comments. Nora I always look for the light whenever possible. I had walked past that scene a couple of times this week both days sunny. The light looked the same - I just had to paint it. Val, the border terrier was running around she loves it there - it's around a 2 acre field. I trust her completely she always comes back! Often she just sits with me. There during the day it is very quiet and peaceful. Val, it was hot and humid yesterday.

What a lovely, bright picture. The colours are fantastic. Gosh! You are so good. Hope you had a great Christmas?

Yesterday afternoon I walked the dog to the usual field. Walking up we always pass these two trees, I look at the wild grasses and often think it looks nice. Yesterday I sat and painted them - first under painting with Gouache and then soft pastel. Didn't take more than an hour.
