What a wonderful portrait and such striking blue eyes complete with twinkle, he does indeed look every bit the gentleman, your mum will love it. I expect it was a bit of art therapy for you too, I hope you feel much better after completing it and you should be very proud of your work, your love of your dad shines through.

What a wonderful portrait. It must have taken a lot on your part to do it. He has a wonderfully warm expression. A treasure for sure. I think the eyes have it here, I am sure you will miss him dreadfully, but you were obviously blessed to have a lovely Dad for many years. I think it is wonderful Jeanette

Thank you so much Val and Angela. You both brought a tear to my eye. Yes we were all very lucky to have dad for many years but my heart still aches. PS Dad had smashing blue eyes. Thanks for noticing both of you.

What a lovely keepsake, as the others said your mum will be very pleased with it,and those eye's says it all.

Jeannette, this brought more than a tear to my eye just looking at it. What a wonderful tribute, and excellent picture.

Such a beautiful, expressive portrait. A fantastic way of remembering, so much bettter than a photo.

This is absolutely lovely, and I'm sure your enjoyed executing this painting and bringing back lovely memories of your dad. God bless your mother, I'm sure she will treasure this painting for the rest of her life.

Hi Jeannette, This painting is very lovely and moving. Your mom must also feel blessed to have such a talented and kind daughter. Take care. Best wishes, Colleen

Hi Jeanette, a lovely painting of "an old time gentleman", a smart "dapper" chap as they used to say. Keep on painting him as the memories come back Jeanette, those you will always have. Best wishes Norman.

What a wonderful warm portrait, just full of character. A person I would have liked to meet. It feels as if you put your soul into this painting.

A beautiful portrait with a very friendly and gentle face. A great way to remember him. x
