Jeanette, this is a very striking picture. I love the light in the sky and the box and on the buildings. Clear to see it's going to be a hot one. Beautifully blended.

Beautiful sky with striking brave colour, love the reflected light and sparkly water Jeanette.

This is just lovely Jeannette. Very interesting colours in the sky and the light hitting the box and building is lovely. Just got some Colourfix and I have to experiment a little because I never used it. Is it used like the Velour; the surface is definitely rougher than the Velour.

Thank you for your very kind comments. Lorraine, the colourfix is little more versatile than velour, it will take watercolour, gouache and acrylic very well. As it has a tooth like sandpaper the pastel doesn't shift so much. Great for underpainting and overpainting. Fingers get a bit worn and red (I'm a finger blender) I have all the other types - never use them.

Thanks for your constructive comments to my post and explanation of the colourfix. After seeing this beautiful landscape of yours I will definitely give it a try.

Is this the one you were working on yesterday? Fantastic sky and colours, you're so clever with pastels I'm envious. I know what you mean about sore fingers, I'm a finger blender as well, isn't that what they were made for ?!!

"WOW"....Jeannette this just leaped of the screen at me, what can i say ? its just gorgeous,,,, the colours in the sky...!!!! are to die for, beautifuly blended and chosen by you, it really is stunning. i'm "green" with envy !..lol Love Rhian...x

thank you all for your kind comments which are always very much appreciated. To Val - I painted this over two weeks ago. I cannot get motivated at the moment. Half of me wants to paint inside the other half want's to paint in the garden. I will end up doing neither I suspect.

Wow what can i say absolutely brilliant, the colours blend well, the light in the telephone box has a magic about it. One to be proud of.

What a fabulous sky Jeannette,it really does "grab" your attention and yet still draws the eye to the telephone kiosk. Very cleverly done.

And yet another master work. What sort of pastels are you using ?

You have captured all the elements beautifully in one painting here, you don't see many sunrises as wonderful as this that often in this country, a credit to you. PW
