This is such a lovely painting Pamela :-) i love the splatter technique you have used too :-)

You have a nice free and detailed method with your painting with the use of confident colours.

Nice one! Loose and expressive - love the spattering.

Thank you for your critique, I am just a beginner and need to develop my style. You are inspiring me!

This a painting of a mother and baby Red Shafted Woodpeckers. They are medium size woodpeckers and can be identified by the red on their winds, tail and head. They migrated from the North to Southern area of North America. This bird is also called the gawker bird and has a laughing call "ki ki ki ki". It constantly drums on trees and even metal objects to declare its territory. When they take flight, they cycle so quickly and then pause suddenly almost as if they were riding a roller coaster. The woodpecker taps away at the tree; her head must ache as she hammers constantly. She darts in the hole when danger lurks near bugs are her goal this red capped dear.
