Like this series of paintings: it's not easy to convey the fury of fire in watercolour; but you've done so, and added a touch of hope that the destruction won't be complete.

Thanks Robert, I think my last painting the Blazing Inferno was my best fire and best sky, only took me about 10 sheets of paper to get it looking realistic. I may try this in oil now.

I love the intense color of fire; to achieve the bright orange, yellow, and red I have layered the watercolor paint many times. This is a series of 5 watercolor paintings I just completed; they were inspired by my nephey "Joey" whose dream is to become a firefighter. May his passion help him reach his goal! Thoughts about fire: Flicker and burn, crackle and spark. I see flames lick and lash at the ground. Red-hot heat sears all in its path, embers and ashes lay all around. Fear or anger, a fire burns within us; revolving around our soul, evolving into the forest fire. Fire, flames of anger; in love, a fire in your heart? Relieve all those fiery moments. Whether it be love or anger, a fire burns inside you. Let that fire continue to rage.
