A superb result!!

Great portrait and a good result for the paper.

Excellent portraiture Denise , superb palette.

You paint lovely portraits of real people.!

An excellent portrait!

Well done Denise.

Terrific result Denise.

Some rather good passages of colour going on in this face. I think it’s a great result so well done! A little too harsh shading on the nose, but nonetheless a good job!

Two hours, wow. It striking Denise and I like the hard edges style about this portrait.

I love the boldness of your portrait Denise, it’s a confident painting.

Really top of the class work Denise. You must be very pleased with the way your portraits have progressed.

It's a fabulous portrait Denise

Nice work, I always like a watercolour portrait.

Fabulous portrait Denise - a powerful portrait.

Great result here, Denise!

Really good Denise, particularly like the colour palette

Good idea about the multimedia pad Denise, I came to the same conclusion a few months back and take mine along to our painting sessions. Mine’s a Winsor & Newton, which is remarkably good at taking a variety of mediums

A great result - and the paper definitely works with watercolour.

Such an interesting portrait with a face that has many stories. Love your brushwork and treatment of light Denise.

Your comments are greatly appreciated Roger, Tessa, Russell, Andrew, Shaun, Martin, Thalia, Heather, Frank, Bobbie and Carole.

I was testing a new multi medium pad out. I used an image for this portrait. It took about two hours last night as I wanted to see how the paper would hold up to a few washes. Watercolour. It's an all media sketchbook, A3 size Shore and Marsh. I bought it to take along to the sketching club, giving me more choice of using different mediums using the one pad.
