It’s a beautiful little piece Denise and quite delicate looking. I’ve never used rice paper and didn’t know about painting on the back , make your paint even more impressive.

This really is a bit special Denise…I’m very impressed with the quality of this piece!

Beautiful - well done, Denise!

That is delightful. Denise!

Fabulous work Denise

Looking even better on the Gallery than it did on the Forum - I love the sweep of the brush, the palette you've used, the composition - the placement of flowers and subsidiary twigs. I don't use rice paper - too clumsy, I'd murder it. You've really studied this method, as we can all see for ourselves.

Thanks and your comments are much appreciated Paul, Alan, Anne, David, Chris and Robert. I really enjoy this type of loose, quick flowing brushwork. It is very relaxing.

This is So lovely! Cudos!!

Very kind Skylar, thank you.

Beautifully done Denise. Very delicate.

Excellent piece of Japanese artwork, nicely done.

I love fluidity and fragility of this Denise.

Challenge really well met Denise

Beautifully done Denise, and particularly like the graduated turquoise wash, which must have taken some patience to do, but it brings it all together.

Much appreciated Christine, Stephen, Cheryl, Carole, Heather, Hilary and Russell.

This is gorgeous Denise!

Very delicate and beautiful.

Beautiful colours and sensitively painted Denise.

Another super painting Denise, you paint a large range of subjects so well.

Blossom. Chinese brushwork. Ink and watercolour on rice paper. The tricky part is putting a wash on the reverse side of the rice paper after the painting is done as it's a delicate process as the rice paper is very fragile and rips and tears easily when applying a lot of water.
