The only thing I don't like about this is the way I cut off his jumper. It should have been faded out but was my first ever portrait

This is a lovely painting of an obviously lovely man, you really have captured him well...but I agree the jumper cut means that he appears suspended in...who knows where...when actually this man seems very grounded in the way you have captured those warm eyes and caring smile....as a first ever portrait though it is stunning.

I think its very well painted Diana, why dont you put it in an Oval mount, and see what its like!! Best wishes, Bill
