Fabulous Diana, so hard in Watercolour.

Thank you Karen. Not that difficult. Water is easy to layer and i Only use transparent colours except for the black which isn't black LOL. I only used masking fluid for the highlight in his eye and the outline of the floating white bit of tail, just to make the washes easier.

Very original. Love the light and movement, great painting.

Fabulous watercolour, fabulous portrait Diana. Great water!

Wonderful colour and movement in the water, a super portrait.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. That last one from Lesley; the genius at painting water, has really made my day.

Ah, the unmistakeable whiff of wet dog ... But he looks wonderfully at his ease in the water: I see you've got your painting mojo back!

Enforced Robert; enforced.

This is just great, Diana. Beautiful portrait of the dog and perfectly painted water!

An incredible watercolour, one you should be so proud of. The moment is caught perfectly with so much expression...more more more!!!

A lovely portrait - the water and expression on his face is perfect, - looking forward to seeing the next one!

I love this natural loose painting Diana. They will be over the moon with this. This is my favourite of all your doggie paintings.

Great colours and lovely water, well done!

Beautiful. You certainly caught the swimming movement in this painting :)

You've excelled yourself with this one Diana, brilliant. Nothing nicer than a happy dog doing what he loves best and you've caught it perfectly.

This is absolutely stunning, Diana! The wet fur, the translucent eyes and the frothy water _ everything painted to perfection. It's a gorgeous, gorgeous painting!

Thank you so much. You are all very generous with your comments. It took me long time to get the composition of this just right but sometimes you just feel the dog in question is talking to you; telling you how to do it and that's what this one was like. I rarely paint water so I'm pleased with this.

Wow this is fantastic! The dog is wonderful and that water, how did you get it to look so real, I take my hat off to you this is superb!

Speaking as the owner of this dog - Dexter, I took the orginal photo and saw this moment that Diana has capture, for real. The true expression and capitvation of the sea and Dexter is perfectly wonderful.

Aw Julia how nice of you. It was a pleasure I assure you- he made it work.

stunning ..i love this one ! thankyou for your comment .

This is stunning Diana, the dogs face is superb, and the movement in the water is great
