It's fabulous Nathan and as you've done this from a photo and without knowing him it's extra brilliant. I really like the fleshtones and lighting and the slight magnification behind those lenses. top of its game!

I find the hardest thing to do when I'm asked to paint a portrait, especially when I often have never met them, is to bring out the personality of the subject. But, with this gent, his personality shone through each of the reference photos I was given to work from. The only tough bit then was for me to capture his obvious warmth and character. ‘Fred’ 50x50cm Oil on board.
