Terrific work, Nathan. I like the contrast between the smoothly worked face, and the vigorous palette knife textures of the hair and background.

I painted the original of this a year or so ago and sold it before the paint had 100% dried (using palette knives takes an age to dry). Since then I've had a few people asking if was still for sale and, to be honest, I like having my paintings hanging around at home for a bit, so I kinda missed the ol' girl. I've learned more about this style since then and thought, why not give it another whirl, so here she is... The Rose Madder 2. 😀
