Yes, I do like it Michael, the greens are superb, also the architecture and the general composition, particularly like the all important shadow on the road to balance the whole thing. The red car?, a bit skew at the rear but easily rectified. I avoid cars if I can, but they do something for a painting, give a date in time maybe...

Thanks Dennis and Alan. I still have this one - only just finished - so I will be making a couple of small adjustments and, as you say Alan, I'll be adjusting the skew. Despite the discussion in the forum I forgot to add that it is a watercolour and will be mounted in glass size 18 by 14 ins - my usual size.

I like this too, a good feeling of a bright sunny day, no doubt due to the sphadows, as Alan has mentioned. I also think the trees recede nicely into the distance. I don't think I would have picked up on the car if you had not mentioned it.

Lovely village scene Michael - maybe leave it alone as the red/warm tones are very good on the car and elsewhere.

I do apreciate your kind comments which have brightened my day and give much needed encouragement to keep going - in the middle of a chuch painting at the moment - I've come in for a break.

Love the way you can turn a not particularly inspiring view into a really attractive scene. I like the distribution of space particularly in this one.

A lovely painting not overworked and I love your greens - I hope you do not over do it when you go back to touch up the red car, it is so tempting to start fiddling with other areas then and ruin a beautiful fresh painting
