Works do well Michael, lovely sense of sunlight and I very much like the restrained under drawing.

A lovely piece, Michael. I like how you used the contrast of light and shadow on the !buildings to lead the eye to the focal point. It's very skilfully done.

Lovely composition and balance with the tall trees and the spire Michael, Can't see much Pthalo Green in them trees though! The yellow blind was a good addition, breaks up the long row of shops.

Very successful Michael, your perspective as usual spot on, I like the palette of purple and yellow-green, and the yellow blind lifts the whole scene.

Really like the freshness and light of this. Good stuff.

Thanks all - I do appreciate your kind comments - yes it was the yellow awning which attracted me to this scene - it wouldn't work without it.

Lovely fresh watercolour Michael and looks very well painted .

Fantastic, thought it must have taken ages! Lovely marks along the street Michael.

What isn't included is the traffic. Like all market towns (and everywhere else these days ) MH is a bit of a bottleneck in the centre

Love those tree's Michael and the understated shop fronts behind them.

Lovely - so fresh and clean - a super watercolour.

Thanks Fiona, Thea, Pat Dennis and Beatrice - these village paintings are what i guess is my bread and butter and help pay for my other indulgences - like wine for example!!

Love your colourful wet in wet washes on the trees Michael and the shadows in the shops underneath them.

Nice work Michael, lovely washes.

I has missed this one Michael! It's lovely!! It will certainly allow you to buy some nibbles to go with the wine.

Worth more than bread and butter!! As you say, Ghent awning makes it.

Another of my local bread and butter scenes. Not a view usually painted so i thought I'd do a quick one of it.
