The Boathouse

very skilled watercolour Michael. like the way your got the light and the texture of the sand. the detail of the boathouse is very fine. has a bit of a lonely feel about it. that kind of place.

Simply accomplished watercolour I really like it

I can only repeat what others have already said Michael - beautiful in its simplicity with wonderful washes, and you need a high level of skill to produce something as apparently simple as this - and how I admire that!

This is really super, Michael! It's such an excellent composition and works so beautifully. Just love the subtle washes and the little boathouse, which brings the whole painting together. Truly stunning!

Nice granulation in the sweeping foreground washes. I think it's one of your best. I suppose we never fully appreciate our own efforts, there's always something that we think could be better!

I didn't see this one in September. It's fabulous! I love the sweeping sands. Not an easy effect to achieve in watercolour! I absolutely love it, it is stunning.
