wonderfull and keeping it simple to wow//.thats watercolour at its best Michael add your paper type and paints next one

just perfect

this is really brilliant :-) i am keen to learn new skills, but i do not go near forums. i think you can paint anything :-p

Now I would have thought that you and Alan had painted this scene sitting next to each other having a mardle. It just goes to show how a persons own style shows through and this is just great.

This is super Michael, love your chosen palette, it's very complimentary. I'd love to have a go but I think Alan's probably fed up of me copying!

fiona ,I will smack you legs if you say that again ..I love it when you (I dont like saying copy its practice )why sit with painters block .change things round if you like but .It makes no difference to me what you do with my ideas .its the enjoyment I see when you paint that is the world to me. we will wait to let others paintings spend a longer time on the gallery .then I will pop another on, Iand I will love it if you copy ///.go enjoy a cupa tea //

Mardle we would if only we could - but we are too far apart. Thanks to you all and Alan yes I will include paper and palette in future. For the record this one: Bockingford extra rough 200lbs , raw sienna, burnt sienna, ultramarine, paynes grey, cobalt blue, hookers (only 'cause I like saying hookers - actually prefer olive) green, light red and I think that's about it.

Lovely watercolour Michael, once again, The shadows on the church steeple work well.

Another stunning painting Michael

Thanks Stephen and Petra

Lovely landscape Michael.

Really like this painting Michael , you have really captured a nice light and the whole thing looks fresh .

A super piece, Michael - it has such a lovely glow and translucence to it.

Congratulations on this painting being chosen for one of the most viewed paintings for September :-)

This is my version of one of Alan's demos in the Forum. Grateful as always to Alan. I find its always more difficult working to someone alses source materials but I do like the challenge and its a good way of extending skills etc. I cheated a bit in that I have mainly used my own palette here but I have discovered one of Alan's favourites: raw umber - I shall be using it again.
