Quinacridone Magenta

The paynes grey mix would be a lovely addition for an evening scene, and with olive green, dark areas within trees and foliage. Thanks for sharing :)

That looks like it has some punch to it and seems to make some good flesh colours in a certain part of the spectrum with yellows.

That just sets my brushes tingling - gorgeous colour: it seems to keep its transparency almost irrespective of what it's mixed with: the mix with Payne's Grey was a revelation - I imagine you're using the W & N Payne's, or at least not D-R's. I can see that some might find it just a little too vivid for use in their landscapes - although the colour could be reduced much more - but imagine it in a sunrise or sunset, and for touches in flesh..

The Magenta is a gorgeous colour but I think it is rather dominating in all the mixes .Tend to agree with Robert as to its limited use in landscapes . Great coolour for flower painters

Thanks everyone for your comments - yes I am using W&N Artists in all the mixes. I agree it is a little dominating but that may be me using the same consistency of mix with each colour - a bit watered down and the colour is a tad more muted.

I love this colour and have used it loads in my flower work. This chart will be great for me Michael so thanks for taking the time to do it.
