Very attractive set of paintings Michael, beautiful scenes and colours.

Quite striking simplicity, Michael.

Another typical Italian scene very well painted. Needless to say it rained there too when I visited!

Another lovely painting. Looking forward to the final installment.

I do like this very much. As Ruth has said already, this is very striking.

Excellent stuff Michael, especially the patchy shadows, has the look of one of my favourites, D'Oyly John. best Mick.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment - it is so much appreciated - will post the other one in the next few days

Lovely painting Michael - looking forward to the next one

Another beauty Michael.

I really like the sound of the way you have framed this series Michael. Looking forward to seeing the final installment.

This is so beautiful and atmospheric, Michael. Love it!

Thanks once again to everyone for all your very kind comments - The frames were chosen by the client and work really well - however they are very expensive so I wouldn't buy them for a speculative picture.

Another lovely painting, I am sure it will look great on the wall

Lovely loose watercolour, Michael. Love the subtle colours and the square format works very well.

Am just catching up Michael and want to say I like this very much too- the simplicity, the colours and the double mount make for a very attractive painting. The client must have been a happy person...

Thanks once again to you all .

Another realy nice painting Michael, looking forward to seeing the next part of the trilogy soon.

Beautiful, Michael! You capture and convey so much with such lovely washes.

Thanks Graham and Seok - will post the next one later

I've visited Menaggio many times - both by road and by boat (I had a small yatch on Lake Como). It's a lovely place, bustlng with life and energy, but also with secluded corners - a bit like Venice! You've managed to capture these extremes perfectly Michael.

This is the second of the set of three commissioned paintings just completed. I posted the first a few days back. Just to remind you they are small paintings by my usual standards in unfussy bronze frames which are wide in profile and 12ins square.
