Thanks so much for all your encouraging comments. My niece says she loves the painting so that's all that matters! Russ was wearing a halter in the photo I borrowed but we thought it would be best if I 'removed' it. I'm pleased I did.

Thanks again for all your lovely comments. Skylar - I painted this in memory of Russ. It was my niece's horse whom she adored but very sadly he had to be destroyed due to a kidney disease. We were all dreading this moment and I didn't know what to do for her other than paint this picture. So pleased it hit the spot.
