'Now that's fun'... and so is this painting. Children do have a lovely choice of clothes to-day. Mam used to make a lot of our clothes and we always went to jumble sales looking for good quality adult clothes which she washed unpicked and made into little dresses and trousers for us. Happy Days :)

Thank you very much for your nice comments on both this and 'Striped Dress'. I'm thinking you may be a northerner too(?). I think I may be busy this summer looking around for fresh contenders!

I found I'd captured an image of this youngster who was obviously bored waiting for her parents. I loved her dress and decided to paint her against a black background. After completing this painting I searched for more images and will be posting my second painting soon. When I was young we didn't have choice of what to wear so I love the fact that girls now seem to have this daily dressing up ritual where they can delve into the wardrobe and anything goes. Now that's fun!
