Excellent study - (did you pay your roofer by painting him? I wish I'd thought of that, if you did...). The Zorn palette is great fun to play with and works extremely well: I'm a slow painter, and have been working (bit by bit) on a Zorn-palette portrait for several weeks now: it won't be as beautifully moulded as yours, I think: I tend to use harsher and rougher brush strokes; but I shall certainly have your method and result in mind when returning to it.
