“Bella” in the garden by Marjorie Firth

I like the light falling on Bella and the colours of the foliage. Lovely loose brushstrokes Marjorie.

Lovely foliage Marjorie and I agree, I like how the light is catching Bella.

Thanks both, it was lovely to paint again.

Lovely Autumn feel, also like the light on Bella and forefront leaves Marjorie.

Lovely variety of brushstrokes and colours.

You had fun. I do like it.

Super loose brush work, Marjorie!

Wonderful combination of colours, like it a lot

Full of energy and colour, a joyful painting.

Love the warm colours, Marjorie.

Beautiful colours, Marjorie.

Thanks everyone - Paul, it was actually a joy to paint, to get back into a routine again after Xmas ( yes, I’m becoming a bit of a Scrooge character, though I don’t mean I didn’t enjoy family time, it’s just the hype).

A beautiful mix of warmth and light that Bella is bathed in Marjorie. Glad I’m not the only one who turns carved stone into characters, I have a rather curvaceous lady called Tryphena who hides her modesty amongst the ferns. Apparently, it’s of Greek origin and means delicate….I think I may need to rename her. It was the name of a friend of mine who I knew as Phena, until she told me her full name. I think it’s a beautiful name but she hated it.

Beautiful colours and brushwork, Marjorie - I really like this...

Thanks Jan, Fiona - Tryphena sounds a bit more sophisticated than Bella Lasagna 😆

Very beautiful Marjorie. Love the colours!

Oil on gessoed card, 9.5”x7”. My first dabble after Xmas. “Bella Lasagna” , named after the character in Fireman Sam.
