I could have sworn I put a reply here…never mind, thank you Denise, Linda, Lewis, Skylar, Russell and Christine for your lovely comments. Russell, I coated the card twice with gesso, 2 more would be better but I wanted to start. Card is nice to paint on ( I use bits of mountboard, anything to hand really and prime it first ) but I would probably frame it behind glass if I wanted to show it.

Love those warm tones and how you’ve managed to show the eyes through the reflections of the glasses, a very challenging task. The touches of light are so beautifully painted and the whole portrait glows Marjorie.
