The distance goes so far Marjorie expertly done a beauty

I suppose that is the great thing about oils, you can change things if you want to and you have turned this into a wonderful painting Marjorie.

Fresher and deeper I'd say and makes a lovely landscape -perseverance pays off.

Thanks so much Dennis, Margaret and Willie - haven't finished with it yet, tomorrow will add closer and detailed buttercups, a few anyway.

Fabulous sky - great painting Marjorie :)

Superbly delicate hayfield and gentle breeze. I thought I recognised your name, Marjorie: a fellow Coquetdale member

Great work Marjorie. Love the breeze in this.

Thanks for the comment Roger - not a member this year, maybe will rejoin next year. Thanks Timothy.

Beautifu soft painting and lovely palette, Marjorie.

Just exudes spring... so light and skilfully interpreted.

I love everything about this painting has a lovely softness about it.

Many thanks Cesare, Lesley and Annette.

Your first version was good, but this is full of energy and space. I hope you haven't fiddled with it.

Thanks Gudrun - oh dear, I'm about to fiddle. Still, can always wipe off again.

Lovely contrast of the dramatic sky with the mellow colors of the field. Love the very lively brushstrokes in the foreground too, Marjorie.

This has a softer look to it and I do like that sky but I find it hard to choose between them.

I've fiddled, adding a few defined buttercups to bottom left. Finished now.

That looks peaceful Marjory.

Water based oils. A second go - happier with it , prefer colours and have avoided the "green" problem.
