A lovely study Marjorie....adorable.

Lovely delicate drawing all the same… I recommended Strathmore Toned Gray paper to Russell a few years ago, he does much of his drawing on it now! Comes in two weights, I prefer the heavier one! It doesn’t have much of a tooth, but it’s lovely stuff for drawing in any medium!

It's a lovely drawing Marjorie, don't agree with your 'bit rough around the edges' comment at all! As Alan said I use Strathmore Gray toned paper a lot but I also use Daler and Rowney's Fine Grain - heavy weight paper a lot too.

Thank you Romila, and Russell for your advice. I look forward to trying out some different paper, I always assumed cartridge was ok but it’s surprisingly hard to control the tones.
