Mind your fingers! Is using this iron your contribution to saving the planet. You may have hit upon something there Marjorie if it is, we could all go back to using the domestic appliances of the days before everything was electrified. Sweeping your carpets with a Ewbank, or a good stiff broom...or a carpet beater! What about the weekly wash done with the dolly peg? Old wringer? Good grief, we could reduce our carbon foot print enormously.....wouldn’t have time to do anything else though.
