Lovely ! This study is so free Margaret.

Lovely sketch for the March challenge, well done 😀

Lovely gannets Margaret. Challenge well met!

It certainly fits the challenge, Margaret. Great drawing of the birds.

A great sketch of gannets, I like the three different poses, Margaret. :)

Nothing like flying birds... brilliant Margaret .

Thank you Sarah, Linda, Louise, Mia, Annick and Sylvia :) I'm fairly pleased with the birds but the background is a bit of a mess!

Action packed Margaret, you’ve got them in flying sequence....look good.

Don’t think the background matters here Margaret, you’ve got the sense of movement which is what the challenge is all about. I’m still thinking about mine!

Lovely, a nice idea,

Did you ever read Johnathon Livingston Seagull? I love watching sea birds flying and you’ve captured those great poses

Really good sketches, Margaret. You've caught the movement and species perfectly. Excellent rendition of gannets in flight. Nice one! Bri

Lovely sketch, Margaret.

Super idea Margaret, I'll start mine later.

Thank you Fiona, Tessa and Lesley. :) My original photo (taken on Kintyre where gannets come from Ailsa Craig) had a few more gannets - all in a row - but couldn't get any more on this bit of paper without making them tiny.

Thank you Maureen :) Thank you Diana :) I did see that book - but back in my student days - a friend had a copy. I love watching and photographing sea birds - especially gannets and terns. Thank you Bri, Margaret, Cesare, Gudrun, and Alan :) I look forward to seeing all your attempts - and I think this one will tempt me to do more! :)

Graceful movement.

Lovely wc sketch Margaret. I can sense them gliding along.

Excellent painting.

This POL challenge is much more up my street! Here is today's quickish sketch of gannets (from one of my photos) - watercolour and artist pen in a Zeta sketch pad (c 8.5" x 5.5")
