For me - one of your best, Louise, - lovely colours and atmosphere

It speaks very eloquently for itself, Louise. Elegant, vibrant and interesting.

Very exciting. There are plenty of angles twists and turns which all contribute to the mood .

I really like the mystery of this one, Louise, with lots of curvey shapes and the verticals. But how do you manage to complete so many beautiful paintings in such a short time?

Thank you Ann, Seok, David and Sian. Sian, unfortunately I'm not exactly churning them out at the moment! These are mostly older paintings. I keep telling myself, tomorrow !

Those colours are fabulous, Louise. The whole composition is sparkling out of the paper, like the water coming from under the bridge!!!

Really love this, Louise! A lot more abstract than the last few you have done - also a lot less defined and a lot more white paper. The smudgy sun in the sky is fantastic - my favourite bit I think. This is a step up I feel - a lot more enigmatic and very professional. The black caligraphic lines add form and emphasis. The colours are all my favourites - I would put this on my wall in a shot. One of those where all the decision made have been exactly the right ones. Mega well done!

Thanks Mia and Thea. Mia, you noticed the usual bridge then ! It was mostly painted using a hake and a rigger. Impossible to fiddle too much with these brushes! Thea, think I'll try another one in this style, tomorrow ?

Wow Louise! I love it!! I like everything about it

Fabulous Louise. I've just said to my friend "I just love the way she (you) does her paintings - no matter what she paints it comes out brill" and this is no exception ~ beautiful Louise. Jx

Fantastic, Louise. My favourite of this genre. A further abstraction. Wonderful.

Another senior moment. Apologies for yet another double comment

Great colours Louise ,slightly different style but as always marvellous, Thanks for your lovely comments on Matilda.

Thank you all. I'm a bit shaken by this reaction! I can spend days, sometimes months fiddling about and altering paintings. Carefully painting in moons, foliage etc. Messing about with bubble wrap, layering colour, tearing things up, and here, I've slapped on the paint with my hake brush, not worried about where it was going and you all seem to like it more than my others! Thea even said that she'd have it on her wall! My next comment is censored! ...... Many thanks all of you, I've a good idea now which direction to go. No more patchworks for a while. This is why I love this site!

This is lovely. It's so hard to move towards abstraction - this works so well! Well done!!

Just gorgeous, Louis. I love it. Re MBE, please see my Sunlit 1 for reply to you and Kirstie.

Thanks Jeanette and Lionel.

This is wonderful, but I do prefer 'Indigo Sky', and then you write that there will be no more patchworks for a while. :( I went to the RA summer show yesterday. Alot of lovely ( and not at all lovely ) paintings there, I think that they could do with one or two of yours there. :)

Thanks Sarah, what a lovely thing to say, I'd like it if one or two of mine were there! I can dream :)
