Super, Louise. A completely different colour scheme. I like the very subtle colours of the landscape in the background.

I like the square format Louise - great sense of design without being laboured

Stunning watercolour Louise, I love it

Beautiful Louise - the foreground is distinctively yours, the background less so and the combination of the two makes an eye catching painting.

Many thanks Mia, Michael, Petra and Jane. Jane, Now that I've seen it on screen, I'm actually toying with the idea of darkening the pale green strip behind the houses, strengthening it to balance out the foreground and pull the white houses forward. The problem is that I've reached the stage where I'm worried that I might spoil it :)

I think we are branching out into summer now with the green grass and flowers. You are taking us on a trip through the seasons I think! These paintings are so iconic to you now and very eye catching. I like the strength of the colours in the foreground which gradually fade away to a very light sky - a role reversal really to your normal style. Keeps us all on our toes!! Beautifully painted as always.

I like this painting VERY much. A different palette and something that makes it really stand out.(I'm hopeless at analysing!) The flowers in the foreground are superb. Another winner.

Perfect just as it is, those lovely flowers really stand out.

I love the blue/greys in the background and your gorgeous flowers in the foreground.

Many thanks Thea, Avril, Val and Carole. Your comments are appreciated. Val, because of that word 'perfect' (which is a good word!) I can feel the doubts setting in. I'll put it to one side for now and decide later whether to add more colour or not :)

This is super, Louise! Like Carole, the flowers in the foreground attracted me immediately. I like the assymetrical effect that adds the punch to the composition.

Beautiful fresh colours, love it!

many thanks Seok and Lesley.
