Wow utterly superb Louise this is great

Great view Louise, expertly painted.

Must agree with Dennis, superb indeed, one of your best I think. You have caught the slightly decaying grandure of the Victorian buildings very well, set against the new office blocks. Very high viewpoint, makes the perspective tricky but you have pulled it off, very well done!

Thank you Dennis, Carole and Stephen for your lovely comments on this one especially as it took me most of the weekend to paint. I used a photograph provided by my daughter as my reference..that roof top party again!

Dennis has already said wow, so I will say Oh, wow. This is a great piece of work from you Louise, I really love it, well done.

More detailed than some of your more recent cityscapes Louise, I can understand how it took all weekend to paint it's fantastic, really love it!

Christine took my words, more care more time and great observation.

That is absolutely fantastic Louise!!! No wonder it took you the whole weekend to do! Carefully observed, beautifully painted, a real masterpiece!

Suberb,Louise - I&#39;ve spent quite a while appreciating all the details and lovely little touches. I would love to see you putting one of these painting together as the way you build up the layers of interest fascinates me and I think I could learn a lot. Way to go, girl!<br />

There isn&#39;t very much more I can add to the list above Louise except, that I think it&#39;s a wonderfully accomplished piece of art.....fantastic!

It certainly is marvellous Louise - great perspective.

Lovely painting Louise .

Than you all very much for leaving such encouraging comments. The top half was pretty easy, it was those arches which I struggled with. I wasn&#39;t after a particularly accurate painting of them but too loose and they looked wrong, ready to collapse! I kept on adding the paint until I was happy. Then the railway line wasn&#39;t dark enough..oh,the joys of watercolour! Fortunately, the few Mancunians who&#39;ve seen this one recognise the buildings and road and it&#39;s quite a large painting so what with these comments and the fact that I&#39;m happy with it, it was time well spent. Makes it all worthwhile really. Thank you!

Lovely work Louise!

A slightly different style and more muted colours but a fantastic cityscape. This evokes happy memories of visiting Manchester nearly every week as a child, I had a great aunt who lived there.

Wow, this is a beauty Louise!

Fabulous painting, Louise. So much to look at, so full of verve and energy!
