I love the way you get such an industrial look to these paintings with the strong verticals and the liberal use of black. Manchester is a vibrant city and this is suggested in the use of the red and I particularly like the way you have got a lovely light reflection into the handrail of the railings - a very nice touch. Your usual confident and inventive work.

I love it Louise, the colours, the feeling, the shape of the buildings, everything! More please!

This is great, agree with Thea's comments too.

Great loose image Louise

Many thanks Thea, Satu, Pat and Michael. Sometimes I think it's a good thing to rush off a painting like this. It's more of a sketch and took very little time as you can probably tell! Painting at speed seems to clear the mind as I find that I can get too bogged down and even bored with more detailed painting. I enjoy this loose type of work and sometimes find that I'm quite pleased with the results. :)

Thea has put it across well.I liked looking at this one, and fits in well with the other scene of Manchester.

I agree with all the above comments, Louise: this is great. Love it!

Thank you David and Mia, comments always appreciated :)

Superb, Louise! Love the contrast of red and turquoise and the reflections.

This is a great composition. Reminds me of London's Bankside years ago!

Thank you Seok and Fred :)

Excellent stuff Louise, once again, lovely, bold, blocks of colour to tell the story. Best Mick

Love the red against the muted blue/grays, lovely semi- abstract painting Louise.

Many thanks, Mick and Carole!

I didn't miss this when I saw it last night just before logging off and didn't have time to comment. The colours and composition - lovely. Fresh

Hi Louise, Firstly many thanks for leaving your comment on my picture. I simply love your style, for many reasons but maybe more so because I cannot be so free as yet, Manchester was a superb picture and I would think very saleable !!. I also noted that some time ago you said that you spent too much time on the site and too little on the art work, well I am perhaps guilty of the opposite as I spend too little time looking at what others are doing, it is why I miss so much work as pictures pass into the next pages so fast. Your enjoyment in painting is obvious and I wish you mush success and pleasure. Kind regards Chris

Thank you so much Gudrun and Christopher!
