One liner almost!

Great figures and even more impressed that you've done them with a rigger !

Thanks Debs. Now I have the idea of painting like this while actually looking at the paper. I rather like the 'one line' technique but will it work when our eyes are telling us where to place the brush or will caution kick in?!

Wonderful linework, super composition and use of shapes, Louise!

Very difficult but you have made it look easy Louise!

This is so elegant and minimalist thatit looks like it belongs in a posh London gallery. In fact I should try framing it and selling it to some! I love it and as Carole has rightly said, you have made it look easy.

Yes! Much harder with a brush! I did try but when I looked down I realised that I had run out of paint halfway through! This is very elegant.

An unusual technique for a rigger brush Louise, I use it for fine detail! It works really well as a drawing implement in your hands though. It's great to see the inspiration Thea's challenge has provided!

Thank you Seok, Carole, Thea, Sarah and Christine. I usually use a rigger for detail Christine like you, but chose it this time because a normal brush didn't give such a lively line. The rigger tends to have a mind of it's own when used like this. It doesn't seem to go in the planned direction, gives an uneven line and nice splodgy bits. Mix lots of dark, thickish paint and try it! Sarah, you will obviously run out of paint. The line breaks and you have to guess where to start again. A bit of scribble action is good too I think! Thank you Thea for suggesting this, I'm thoroughly enjoying the challenge as you've probably guessed...LOL

You did it Louise and it's fantastic! I think this method suits your style so well and gives it an extra something plus. I didn't have time to try the brush liner today and no time tomorrow either ( granddaughters visiting ) but later in the week surely.

One liner keeping to the challenge 'rules' (almost) done with a rigger brush which wasn't as easy as the brush was more difficult to control and I had to paint extra quickly while guessing whether there was enough paint still on the brush! The line was broken where the legs left the bottom of the paper and I had to guess approximately where to continue the line. I seem to be having a rethink about my painting technique now, I rather like this one line method!
