Tree and Stream

I love Tom Brown's paintings Lionel and I love this. I like how you have graduated the right hand hill side, the tree is brilliant, as is the undergrowth beneath it. An all round top painting Lionel! It's me that will be doing the catching up! Lol. Can I ask what mixture the tree green is? I like it.

My two favourite girls !! Fiona and Kirstie; thank you so much, once again, for your kind comments. What would I do without you? I use lemon yellow and ultramarine blue with a touch of yellow ochre and some white. It is all rather hit and miss as I end up pushing the paint around the palette until it looks like the sort of mix I am looking for. Thanks again, ladies. I think I may be removing this one if no one else thinks it worthy of comment. But I still enjoyed doing it and I am pleased you like it.

A super piece, Lionel! A little different from your usual pieces, but with your signature sunny palette and sensitive treatment of landscape. Love it!
