Another batch of brilliant pictures, 🙂 well done Lewis.

Very good collection of characters Lew, I especially like Billy! 😆

Awesome - especially that "bird" get my attention this morning... Just have seen on TV news a talk about latest archaeological discovery of the chicken size dinosaur... Following what they've said, it's possible that most of those smaller dinosaurs from Jurassic Park movie should have had a feathers... Never mind, your arts are stunning ;)

Love them all!

Great creations Lewis. Love the genetically modified chicken

These look quite small on my iPad, but I love them Lewis, especially the dwarves!

Superb charters Lew , you certainly are having great success with the dip pen .I do believe that sometimes the older methods are best , well tied and tested as they are.

Love the bird!

Thank you very much for your very welcome comments.

The one on the top left is Mr Underhill! He was a primary school teacher of mine, around 60 years ago: the very image .... I could dawdle on my way back to school, but it was no use his pointing at his watch: I was what they now call dyspraxic (among other things) and couldn't tell the time until I was at least 12 years old (nor tie my shoe-laces.....). So his indignation was entirely wasted on me: and I'm blowed if I can remember a single thing he tried to teach me all these years later, anyway: poor man...

Wonderful work Lewis.

They're all fabulous Lewis!

I love these Lewis. Your illustrations are always superb. For me, the bird is my favourite for unusuality.

What a splendid bunch!

Thanks again to everybody for your interest and comments. I had a similar teacher Robert, always pointing at his watch with a range of expressions to go with it...but he looked nothing like this chap. I wish I'd made the bird more cartoony Spencer, but I guess he's pretty far from reality as it is.

Another great selection of characters!

A great bunch of characters Lewis. Great colours and details.

I’m sure that I’ve asked you before Lew, but what make of dip pen are you using? You’re exceedingly neat with it compared to myself… Great compilation of characters again!

ALAN...I bought 2 nibs from Jacksons. 1...Manuscript: Calligraphy Nib style I drawing nib (70p) 2...The same brand...style U general drawing nib (70p). I mostly use the first one, but both are good. I sometimes draw with the side of the nib for a thinner line...probably shouldn't. Also bought large bottle of Jackson's own black ink...lovely stuff. As I now seem reinstated with dip-pens, I'll try some different nibs...don't need to...happy with these...but they're cheap enough.

They ring a bell… thank you Lew!

Great work Lewis and Merry Christmas.

All great characters once again Lewis.

If your crow-eagle did appear on bird tables, I’m almost sure nothing else would! Great work Lewis.

Every one a little gem Lewis you never fail to entertain us.

Oh this is just fab!! Love it 😍

They never cease tp amaze me, Love it!

Love it, especially the bird, so funny.

Another great bunch. Wonder if I can attract a crow eagle to my bird table this Christmas.

I'm back using a dip-pen and ink, I prefer it to the disposable drawing pens. These were done over the past few weeks, I decided to add colour with coloured pencils. It works well, I don't have to rework the pen work after adding colour...something often necessary with the disposables. Tried a different looking 7 dwarfs...might have worked if I'd included Snow White. Might try that again.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
