I think they are all great but the ones that really tickle my fancy are the top 2.

All great characters, my favourite is the amazed explorer with the telescope.

Four more excellent characters, I do like the camel and the explorer both are so good.

All good but Love the camel!

Great characters Lewis.

Another super set. I like the top left gent who is about to get a rude awakening. Although the cockling may look unpleasant on the originals, it does give a rather interesting background to the photographs.

Super set of characters- I like the two at the top. He’s just about to get his just desserts.

Top left is a gem! I wonder how many characters have you created over the years Lewis?

Thanks to everybody for your comments...always encouraging. That's a thought Russell...my usual answer to numerical questions like that is 29. (But that's more like a week.)

Amazing characters!

My favourite is the top left too - for a reason. My husband once dropped a pillow on my head from 3 floors up ( we sere students then). I got my own back by dropping the complete works of Shakespeare on his, carefully balanced on the top of a door. We sere mad then but things like this still amuse me!

More great characters - love the top two.

All individual characters Lewis, I want to mother that camel, looks like he could do with a good meal!

Great stuff and fun!

Super work Lewis but I particularly like ‘words can’t hurt you’, unless it’s a flying hardback book!

Wonderful as usual Lewis!

Brilliant again Lewis!

So so splendid Lewis. Make my heart happy.

Thanks again for looking and your comments. Marjorie, that sounds a bit drastic. After the complete works of Shakespeare landed on his head, I'd imagine your husband was a bit shorter.

That's amazing skill, that your art is lifting my mood up at every time Lewis ;) I'm fancy the *thrown book art most ;) ;) ;)

I love all your characters. They are fab!!!

As some of my sketchbooks become almost full, I'm drawing on any remaining usable pages. Some show signs of cockling as I'd used watercolour on the reverse side. But waste not want not.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
