A marvellous bunch.

Great characters all, and yes I know a spin when I see one!

Predictive text- spiv not spin!

Dad's Army had the perfect spiv (very much like your bottom left) - all great examples.

Superb pencil sketches Lew , there is something quite special about a pencil sketch and these are the top notch versions.

Dog in number two is magic; I can hear it now..(0: Number three is Arthur English for me, or Al Reid. Lovely stuff Lew.

Even with the 'serious' sketch (No 1) the hand of the master is still in evidence. Who else would have put that look in the eyes?

These are wonderful Lewis.

All the expressions are top drawer and so recognisable in everyday life Lewis. You have such an astute eye for defining characters

Thanks very much for your comments.

Great characteers and all brought a smile to my face Lewis.

A great set of pencil sketches Lewis.

Fabulous Lew. I belong to a memory site from the town I was brought up in. A lot of the pics posted are so funny....last of the summer wine, Dads army et al , they ar3 just asking to be drawn. I couldn't possibly name the town...but it's in Lancashire.

A great set of characters such brilliant expressions and details.

Wondrulwaysofgrowingolder disgracefully! Live the howling dog. Don’t blame him at all!

Brilliant Lewis, ahh the 'musical' saw, something of a misnomer methinks!

Great characters - love the dog!

Can't get started on anything bigger, so doing some quickish doodly sketches. I've put 'spiv' on one...I expect you know the word. If not, it describes dodgy characters selling dodgy stuff in the 1950's. Often depicted wearing flash clothes and gaudy ties. I expect they are still around, if not dressed the same...I'm pretty sure some of them run the energy companies.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
