Really good image Lew and perfectly captures your subject. Good work.

Really like this Lewis, lovely drawing and I think it looks good in just black and white, can see it mounted up and framed in just a simple black frame 😀

Thank you Jim and Linda. Linda, I'm in the middle of a lot of jobs around the house and have revamped our spare bedroom where I hang some pictures. I've put this in a black frame with a mount and it looks good (doing that often improves the look of a picture.)

Lovely. I can imagine that mounted in a black frame it looks fab.

Great piece Lewis, I imagine it looks even better in the frame and hanging on your wall.

A really graceful image, like it Lew.

Thank you Tony, Russell, and Carole.

Great piece, Lewis, and The frame will finish it off beautifully. The kimono is superb. Bri

So elegant and graceful Lewis and great in black and white. Would love it on my wall.

Excellent drawing skills most evident in this piece Lew.

Lovley work.

This is really lovely work Lewis, I like the detail on her kimono. I'm sure it looks wonderful in a black frame.

Thanks to all for your very kind and welcome comments.

Fabulous, Lewis.

Beautifully drawn lovely lady!

Top notch Lewis, full of admiration for your drawing skills.

A beautiful drawing of a beautiful Geisha.Love the pointillist here and there.Works well together with the kimono.

Missed this one. One of my favourite subjects, kimono. Have you looked in the V and A Kyoto to Kimono virtual exhibition? A fabulous resource.

Finally got round to drawing something new (a lot going on at home). This was intended to be a pointillist drawing, but I soon had enough of that, and kept it really simple. I used a ref pic, mainly for the kimono, but in the end it bears only a superficial likeness to the ref pic (which is how I prefer to use them). I thought changing method part way through might result in a mess...but I quite like it. A4. Pen and ink.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
