In this story, Trolls are creatures of the night...daylight turns them to stone. Bilbo and some dwarves are captured by Trolls, who are discussing how to cook them. The distracted Trolls don't notice day is breaking, and the morning light turns them to stone. The bemused Bilbo and the dwarves suddenly find themselves free. 18 x14 inches. Mixed media (mostly watercolour, some coloured pencil, pen and a little gouache).
