The Festival Goer. by Lewis Cooper

Great picture Lewis. I did Knebworth once back in the day, never managed a festival. I need my creature comforts too much.

Fabulous depiction of a festival goer and that weary look sums up why I would never go (but I am old now!)

What a superb character Lew your ability to come up with these ideas always amazes, please keep coming up with them they are a treat and I look forward to seeing new ones each day .

Absolutely brilliant Lewis. The queue for the loos would put me off for a start.

Thanks for your comments. These people just love the festivals, but we seem to be kindred spirits in not being attracted to the hardships attached...the toilets must be at the top of that list.

Hope he is young enough to have actually heard of some of the acts.

Great picture Lew, looks like he's been before ☺️

Superb image, Lewis! Poor dog! Doesn’t look as though he is expecting mud. Rather him than me!

Wonderful Lewis. I used to live and travel to work every day on the Glastonbury road and watched the festival goers for weeks prior to the festival. They always looked sprightly travelling to the site but rather more weary and exhausted returning.

Brilliant drawing, Lewis!

Superb Lewis, his paraphernalia is a joy to view.

Great fun Lewis. Love all that gear on his back. I must admit festival going does not appeal to me.

Brilliant, made me smile 😊

Superb Lewis. I've never been to a festival myself but it looks like an experience.

Your sense of humour is only superseded by your amazing drawing skills Lew. Fabulous work.

He’s packed everything but the kitchen sink! Absolutely marvellous!

What a brave soul it’s much better watching it on the tele with all your comforts but I suppose that’s old age for you. Wonderful depiction of a weary young soul, Lewis.

So much to view in this picture Lewis super details

Great character Lewis - glad to see he’s got his own toilet roll, and guitar but wondering where he’s going to sail his boat- unless it’s in the mud puddles when it gets wet!

Great painting, love all the details, especially the rather contented looking dog.

Great festival goer Lew. I love all his gear, and the dog! We get the West news here so have had wall to wall Glasto over the weekend. Definitely not something that attracts me or himself, except on the tv.

Beautifully observed. He looks like he's had a good time with very little sleep. I love all the little details - specially the loo roll!!

These have been all over the news. This was prompted by seeing pictures of them arriving on site with all their gear on their backs. Looks like they had a great time. Coloured pencil.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
