Love the humour in both the first line of your text and painting, Lewis. She certainly is a vision to behold. Reminds me of myself after a session down the local :)

A touch of Upstart Crow. Marvellous drawing.

But, soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? By any other word would smell as sweet.

That touched a funny spot Lew thanks for the laugh!

Love your humour, never fails to make me laugh and sets me up for the day ... brilliant drawing helps too!

Absolute corker Lewis can't stop laughing.

Thanks everyone, for your welcome comments. I'm far from a Shakespeare expert, but much of his writing is in everyday use anyway, for example...he gave us 'love is blind.' Quite handy with men playing women's roles.

You bring great humour to your art Lewis, it makes a bright start to the day.

Excellent Lew , well that’s one of my five a day, just need some fruit . Your pen and pencil work is so good and is always a delight to see.

What a great way for us to start the week.

Unique. Great stuff Lew..(-:

Love it, Lewis - your characters are always so expressive!

Excellent Lewis. Great humour and such brilliant drawings with so many details to chuckle at.

Great ! Think Romeo should have gone to Specsavers !

Ah well , Lewis , this greets me as I rise on a sunny morning - a smile for the day keeps the miseries at bay. Another beaut. Now off to plant Jersey Bennes for Christmas dinner !!

Great humour as always the drawing is superb!

Brilliant , Lewis! I just love the flies. She must be minging!

Love it !!

Great timing Lew, just watched 'Shakespeare in Love. Gwyneth Paltrow must have had a great make-up artist!!

I know...I'm an old romantic. And you'll know that in Shakespeare's day female roles were played by men and boys. A bit hurried, not much time for art, a lot going on at home. 4B pencil, A3 sketchbook.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
