Superb work Lew , took me a couple of seconds to notice the gent holding the earring.

Everyone together, but in a world of their own. Nicely done, Lewis.

The man holding the earring made me giggle. Smashing work Lewis.

Great characters, especially the man holding the earring!

Clever, clever, clever!

Such happy souls, alone in a crowd. Super pencil work Lewis

I drove to London yesterday for a fourth birthday! Thankfully didn’t have to get the tube and haven’t for a while. Love the humour and observation in this Lew.

I don't know where you get your inspiration from Lew, but long may it continue.

Thanks for your great comments. It's years since I used the tube, I doubt it's changed much apart from the mobile phones. I have been to London by train several times recently, pretty much the same. Everyone firmly in their own private world, alone despite being in a crush of people, as Carol observed.

, love it. Thank you it’s great.

Usual brilliance Lew in both drawing and humour…

Thought of the pain brought tears to my eyes Lew..(-:

So clever, Lewis - it doesn't look a lot of fun on that Tube!

Great drawing Lew , the expressions on their faces say it all.

Wonderful Lewis, the man holding the earring is genius!

Each in their own little bubble. It made me smile.

This is so funny. Reminds me of those awful travelling days in the tube.

Love the array of characters. Holding the earring is genius. How do you think of these things?

Ha Ha , brilliant Lewis, hope that womans ear isn't hurting.

This is really brilliant Lewis. You’ve captured how everyone is so involved in their own lives with no communication to others.

You are absolutely right about the tube. The only exceptions are around Heathrow, where strangers do not know the code of behaviour. I have even seen people laugh and smile near there!

Wonderful collection of characters Lewis.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
