River by Moonlight

That is lovely Jenny. Please keep that Heron ther3. Not raiding my pond again.

Very nice 1930s feel to this - I can imagine it as a book plate for some reason . "This book belongs to ...." sort of thing.

Very skillful Jenny.

Many thanks Sylvia, Andrew and Stephen. Sylvia, it’s actually a Little Egret, but you’re welcome to the Heron which keeps taking our pond fish! - even with netting it somehow managed to take my favourite goldfish last year. Interesting idea, Andrew, can see what you mean.

Eye-catching Jenny. Lovely.

A lovely clean and crisp image, Jenny.

So sharp Jenny, a beauty.

Very effective, Jenny.

Very clean and stylish Jenny. Love your composition.

Thanks very much Denise, Carol, Fiona, David and Tessa, comments appreciated!

Glad you added it to the gallery Jenny

Many thanks, Heather, Spencer and Faye!

Nothing wrong with revisiting old material. Like the frame ~ digital?

Thanks, Frank. It’s actually a double mount (full width 2.5”). I mount all my linoprints in a double white mount (with narrow dark blue frame if they also need to be framed).

This is so lovely, Jenny. I love the contrast of the stillness of the bridge with the movement of the water and the reeds. And the heron just brings everything together.

Thanks, Seok! This is one of a series of linocuts I did inspired by our local river walks.

This is a beautiful lino cut print Jenny. The Egret is so graceful and poised just exactly as one observes them near the reeds! Egrets use to stalk on our rise in Durban close to our front of our house and it reminds me of this elegant white bird! Lovely work and so effective!

Thank you, Angela! I see these lovely little birds on the river just a short walk from home - I often walk my dog there.

Linocut originally done a few years ago - have made a few changes which I think gives it a cleaner image. Not expecting comments, just wanted to add it to my gallery. Not a very good photo, it’s actually a dark blue.
