You always get the proportions in your paintings just right Jenny. The stars of the painting perfectly placed, the right amount of wave spray and the mix and proportion of blues understated.

Thanks very much Richard, Marjorie, Carole and Fiona! Pleased you think it worked out OK - I’m still finding the acrylic inks quite hard to work with, I’m so used to being able to lift out with watercolour.

Super Jenny, good composition and I like the textured background. Photographing artwork can be a tricky thing, especially at this time of year. I use daylight bulbs which can help with colour, also moving the camera away from the work can change the colours slightly, as the camera will adjust to what is in the frame - it just means you have to crop a bit more.

Thanks, Frank! Getting a good photo isn’t actually the issue, I can get a really good image with my iPad. The problem is when I upload it to POL the colours seem a bit muted - it started happening a few months ago after one of the site upgrades. Strange no-one else has mentioned it.

Excellent composition and use of colour. Apart from the richness of the blue I like the suggestion of sea-foam in the bottom left-hand corner and the dolphins leaping into the picture.
